Clinical Trials We're Currently Enrolling Patients for at the Joslin Diabetes Center. Clinical trials are studies designed to find new and better ways to treat patients with diabetes. The physicians at the University of Maryland Joslin Diabetes Center are currently conducting the clinical trials.


Midaortic syndrome is a variety of aortic coarctation, located in the distal thoracic aorta, the abdominal aorta or both, involving the intestinal and renal vessels, usually presenting with renovascular arterial hypertension.


Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disorder in which the body attacks its pancreatic beta cells. The onset of type 1 diabetes is attributed to both an inherited risk and external triggers, such as diet or an infection. The hunt for these genetic and environmental risk factors is on-going.

Type 1 Diabetes is a serious medical condition that involves the pancreas and insulin production. Type 1 Diabetes, is also known as Juvenile Diabetes or Insulin Dependent Diabetes Mellitus. Type 2 Diabetes is also known as Adult Onset Diabetes or Non-Insulin Dependent Diabetes Mellitus. 16 million Americans have Diabetes – approximately 1 million have Type 1 and 15 million have Type 2. (Actually only about 8 million individuals are diagnosed with Type 2, about 7 million are walking around with it and NOT diagnosed).

Our mission

Our mission is making a difference in children with diabetes. We offer education to children and their families living with Diabetes. We provide Scholarships to health conferences and camps; and we award Care Grants to create educational materials and video's. Continues their fundraising to provide aide and assistance resulting in the education and medical care necessary to live long and healthy lives .
